Letter: Share your civic concerns with legislators (Printed Aug. 31, 2007)

Editor:
Our recent crisp weather is a sad reminder that the lazy days of summer will soon be behind us. As the kids head back to school, I will be headed back to J.P. Thornton’s, where for some time I have met with constituents once a month to share a cup of coffee, ideas and concerns.
These coffee hours have been invaluable to me and other members of the South Portland legislative delegation as a chance to keep in touch with the constituents we serve and the issues that are important to them. I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank Tom of J.P. Thornton’s for making them possible.
I encourage everyone to take advantage of his generous offer and join me there on the second Saturday of every month.
Jane Eberle
State Representative,
South Portland and Cape Elizabeth
