Letter: Our vote is for Blake (Printed Nov. 2, 2007)
Editor:
On Nov. 6, we are casting one vote for the South Portland City Council at-large race. That vote will be for Tom Blake! Tom Blake is the candidate that most closely holds our ideals. He believes in education, most specifically hiring and retaining quality teachers. He believes in the environment, particularly the protection of our parks, waterfront, and greenbelt trail. He believes in quality of life issues, understanding that there must be a balance between our tax burden and the excellent services we’ve come to expect. Most importantly, Tom Blake believes in people; he has the ability to engage others and work towards common goals. We’re especially pleased with Tom Blake’s ideas, energy, and enthusiasm. With new faces come new opportunities. Join us for voting for Tom Blake.
