Letter: Strongly disagree with De Angelis comments on Knightville project (Sept. 12, 2008)

Editor:

Poorly Planned Knightville Development? OK, someone might as well say it. I am quite sure nobody cares if Rosemarie De Angelis approves of their project or not! Just when we thought we had purged her from the public eye, here she is again rearing her head. I find it hard to turn away from her self serving comments aimed at the work of longtime hardworking citizens in our community. Like most of us, you would think she might be more offended by the sewer treatment plant that greets the commuters with the rankest of smells upon entering and exiting the city, or perhaps that monster of a bridge that looms over it and threatens our shoreline. I applaud the new development and the two local developers who are trying to improve upon an otherwise depressed area.

By the way, these developers and their families have been a positive part of our community for many years and are committed to being a vital asset to the city’s future. If she can’t lend support she should keep her unproductive comments to herself. I am quite sure that’s what the voters were trying to convey to her when she was voted off the city council.
