Letter: South Portland roads are unsafe (Dec. 5, 2008)
Editor:
I am a student at Southern Maine Community College. I have to drive to school every day to school from Scarborough. I always take Broadway in South Portland on my way to school and it’s almost impossible for me to get to school because of all the holes on the street. Sometime while I’m driving I feel unsafe and a little bit worried because I see cars breaking down and getting into an accident because of the holes on the street. I don’t want that to happen to me. I think we should be able to feel safe everywhere we go while we drive and not be worrying about what could happen.
The city of South Portland should please fix the streets and all the holes on the street. That way everyone will feel safe and comfortable while they drive.
